Entry 2: Reddit, eggs, and personality
I like all the different layouts and looks blogs have on this site, they give me a little peek into the person personality and make me happy. It feels nice, unique, more personal, compared to something like Reddit.
Sure on Reddit you still have peoples writing style and vocabulary, but nothing beyond that. One might be milk chocolate while the other is pure, but in the end they're all still chocolate eggs. On here they might be chocolate eggs but they could also be boiled, or an omelet, or even scrambled, or maybe fish eggs, or perhaps not an egg at all, maybe something completely different.
On Reddit you also have the general culture of keeping on a mask, hiding as much information about yourself as possible. Not giving sensitive information is important of course, but Reddit takes it to an extreme. Having to constantly wear a mask, keep up pretences, isn't nice, people need a place or way to air their thought.
It probably helps that here you have a place for yourself that you don't need to share, while on Reddit your sharing a subreddit. A guest doesn't get a say in what decorations you have or where you place your furniture, but a housemate does.
Personalise what is yours, it makes me happy.
